Faith. Hope. Healing.
I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 12 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and from my own health struggles, I made a radical shift from engineering to healthcare. I am committed to helping individuals suffering from chronic pain or disease through a biopsychosocial and pain science approach with the goal of helping you avoid any unnecessary surgeries or medications.
Recent research has shown that the majority of chronic pain is not due to structural causes but instead is the result of overfiring by the brain and nervous system. The biopsychosocial model addresses all areas of your life which could contribute to your pain: diet, fitness, sleep, stress management, overall mental, spiritual, and emotional health, support systems, work/life balance etc. Pain science includes education about the brain’s role in pain development and reducing fear of symptoms. Treatments such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy help to teach the brain to interpret symptoms in the body as safe and not dangerous. Both methods have been shown to be highly effective in improving and curing chronic pain.
