About Me:

I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and at the age of 23, I suffered a collapsed lung suddenly (known as a spontaneous pneumothorax). After experiencing it twice within a month I had to have surgery to remove a part of my lung to avoid any complications for the future. From my recovery and the amazing care I received in the hospital I decided to switch my career to healthcare. It took me 5 years but I was able to graduate with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011. I am committed to helping individuals suffering from chronic pain and chronic health conditions with a whole-body approach.

I first learned about this nervous system and whole body approach in 2015. I was struggling with severe hip pain and despite 30 visits with a very good PT my pain was only getting worse. I found Dr. John Sarno’s “Healing Back Pain” online and read it at the local bookstore. Everything he said about Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) made a lot of sense especially getting over the fear of pain and the fear of movement.

Following this approach I was better within one week. I developed other symptoms which is common and I decided to work with my own pain recovery coach for close to 9 years. My coach taught me so much about my emotional and psychological triggers and how they played a role in creating my physical symptoms. When I learned to reduce stress, prioritize myself, and treat myself better that is when my health really improved.

Using this approach, I was able to help a number of patients at the hospital where I worked. Unfortunately, I was also limited by being the only PT there following this model. After the outpatient department closed, I decided to start my own practice doing this work so that I could continue to help patients.

From doing this nervous system work myself, I have been able to recover from chronic and acute pain (not injury related), headaches, IBS, nausea, anxiety, skin conditions, dizziness, and many others. I know how powerful this work can be once all structural causes of disease have been ruled out. My goal is to help you avoid what I had to go through and any unnecessary surgeries or medications.

Bobby is a knowledgeable and compassionate physical therapist. As a psychotherapist working with patients with chronic pain, I have referred multiple clients to Bobby to help them work on fear of movement and getting back to physical activity with great success. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a mindbody PT that takes a whole person approach.

Such a kind person who is super knowledgeable about physical therapy. He spent more one on one time with me than any therapist i have worked with in the past. That made a big difference in my recovery! Thank you Bobby!!
