If you have a PPO or POS health plan, you likely have out-of-network benefits — meaning your insurance may reimburse you for a portion of what you pay here, even though I'm not in-network. Like all patients, you can see me directly under Direct Access — no physician referral required to get started.

Why This Matters
Most physical therapists trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy or TMS-informed approaches work outside insurance networks, because doing this work well takes longer sessions and more individualized attention than network contracts typically allow. Staying out-of-network is what lets me offer that — and your PPO/POS benefits can make it more affordable than most people expect.
Reimbursement
Many patients receive 50–80% of the allowed amount back per session, once their out-of-network deductible is met.
Direct Access
No referral required to start. You can see me directly for an evaluation, the same as any other patient.
Simple Superbills
I provide an itemized superbill with everything your insurance needs to process your claim.
Understanding Out-of-Network Costs
How does out-of-network reimbursement actually work?
You pay for your session directly. I provide a superbill — an itemized receipt with the diagnosis and procedure codes your insurance needs. You submit that to your insurer, and they reimburse you directly based on your out-of-network benefits.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can see me directly for an evaluation and begin treatment without a physician referral, the same as any patient using Direct Access.
What will I actually get reimbursed?
It depends entirely on your specific plan. Many PPO/POS plans reimburse 50–80% of the allowed amount once your out-of-network deductible is met. The best way to know your numbers is to call the member services line on your insurance card.
What should I ask my insurance company?
Do I have out-of-network benefits for physical therapy (CPT codes 97161, 97110, 97112, 97530)? What is my out-of-network deductible, and have I met it? What percentage of the allowed amount will you reimburse after my deductible? How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
Yes. You can pay out of pocket and use your superbill for reimbursement through either account.
